None of these people are real pirates. I bet they've never been on a galleon before. Don't listen to them.
The real Boucaniers, or "Bucaneers", used to use their cutlasses to slaughter pigs on islands. Pork and ham are always good bets. You also can't go wrong with red meat.
Make sure to wash that down with some good rum. Stay away from the cheap stuff.
Fish n chips are always a good choice, too.

Spicy food - a big pot of chilli would be ideal, or else barbecued meat with vegetables & rice, and exotic fruit kebabs.

awesome! Well i think fish and beer/liquor and bread are obvious but i would go with chicken too and ribs or vegetable soup and some pie for dessert.
