Why were they made and why are they still being manufactured?

thyere both sedatives in the benzodiazine family, originally used for sleep aids and such, thing about them as sleep aids is they dont really promote a restful sleep and are fst to become addited to. theyre still used sometimes especially for stopping seizures in a tonic clonic (grand mal) whos in status epilepticus (never ending seizures)

they're sedatives. sometimes given to people who are highly stressed to help them relax, or in a lot of pain.

pain killers, they used them before they came out with Oxycontin.
