this is not a "date" thing at all. Read enclosed:

Revelation 13:11-18

Then I saw another beast which rose out of the earth; it had two horns like a lamb and it spoke like a dragon. It exercises all the authority of the first beast in its presence, and makes the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose mortal wound was healed. It works great signs, even making fire come down from heaven to earth in the sight of men; and by the signs which it is allowed to work in the presence of the beast, it deceives those who dwell on earth, bidding them make an image for the beast which was wounded by the sword and yet lived; and it was allowed to give breath to the image of the beast so that the image of the beast should even speak, and to cause those who would not worship the image of the beast to be slain. Also it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead, so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name. This calls for wisdom: let him who has understanding reckon the number of the beast, for it is a human number, its number is six hundred and sixty-six.

I've never seen anywhere in the Bible that says 06-06-06 is the end of the world. Actually, the Bible says just the opposite.

Luke 12:40
"Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not."

If people think the Savior will come today, it makes me expect it to not happen today. To me, this just means that we have to be as ready as possible because it will happen when we don't expect it.

It means absolutely nothing especially concidering the fact that in the in bible times they had a completely different calender than us.
So the date is really not 06/06/06.

06-06-06... the only significance of this date for me is that my pool lights will be repaired around 6pm. Coincidence? No. It's just that it is summer time and a lot of pools are being built and repaired and they go by first come first served priorities. Repairmen work up to 8-9 pm. It was how my schedule came up.

666 is supposed to represent the devil/hell/satan through a misinterpretation of something written in the Bible, in Revalations, ironically, in chapter 13. Since the date today is 6/6/06, some people believe today is the day that hell will be on earth, the devil will come e.t.c.

People are making a big deal about the three sixes in the date. 666 is the mark of the beast in Revelations. No need to be scared its just another day. Read the last Chapter of the Bible. Satan loses!
