What I mean is...we all enjoyed it as children.

Look, just because your body doesn't want to breathe pollen, dust, etc. does not mean that you cannot easily digest that stuff.
Really...asking this question was poking fun at my daughter, whose answer will be selected as best.
Thanx all...Pick a Winner!

In some countries it's considered a delicacy. Chewy and salty.

Well as I'm sure you know, the little hairs in your nose filter out the dirt and bad stuff in the air you breath. So those so called "Boogers" you used to eat are really dried up (or slimey lol) clumps of dirt and other things that aren't good for you. I suggest you do not eat them. Nor your children if you have any. You or them could possibly get sick from the bacteria.

Because boogers are meant to hold in things like dirt and pollen from going into your body and by eating them you are putting what your body tried to get rid of into your body.(if that made sense)

Probably because the junk up in there is mutated mucous.

It's full of dust and dirt that our body is ridding itself of...by making boogers.

As children we didn't know what it was. Just that it was stuck up in our nose...and as children anything we had in our grasp automatically went in the mouth.

But, if you can't resist the temptation of your own boogers - go ahead help yourself.

Actually it does not make much sense. I think it is because people don't realize that the inside of your throat is coated in mucus anyway. It's just people doing what people do, finding new ways to make someone feel outcast that has eventually hardened into doctrine.

I know, that's weird isn't it? I know that now I wouldn't do it, but I do remember doing it as a kid a few times. I have caught some adults doing it. I can say though that I wouldn't enjoy it now and I try to stop my daughter from doing it.

Now that I think about it, why?

Did you know that humans swallow about a quart of their own snot a day?

Because there are germs in those boogers. So, you catch the colds easier, and your immune system gets a work out.

It's considered impolite...it's just like the same as rolling around in the mud just out of nowhere..lol, people jsut dont...unless you're in some kind of contest....but not likely

because it is a waste and that is where the dirt that is going into your body is traped,, (your body is trying to prevent you from this) so if you eat them wouldnt that defeat the purpose of having them in the first place? your eating dirt thats why

It is disgusting because it is something your body is tryng to get rid of. It would be like drinking your own pee, to say the least.
