ok, in revelations 13:18, it explains that "666" is the number of the man/antichrist. any thoughts?

apparently, the name of the antichrist matches a numerical figure which adds to "666". it is a mystery in the bible. the bible says if man is wise enough, it can be figured out.

i am not saying the "666" signifies the end of anything. all i want to know is, has anyone ever thought about this particular passage in the bible? didn't mean to start w w III!

Look, even if 666 is the number of "the beast", it's also just a number. I'm sure if you have a Bible, there is a page 666. Without the number 666, there could only be 665 true numbers. So if is frightening to hear the date 06-06-06 or the time 06:06:06, remember, it's also just a regular number necessary to the numeric system. It means nothing.

To Net S: I've studied alot of prophecy and your take on the national ID card is outlandish, if you believe the Bible. The whole WORLD will have to have this identification mark, not an insignificant 300M of 6B people. That also, like the date 06/06/06 means nothing, other than our country is having to take measures to prevent terrorism and impersonation by requiring a form of ID that is sanctioned and recognized by the federal government making it easier for airport screeners and customs agents (among others) to identify citizens of the U.S. thus getting them wherever they are going faster and preventing fraud.

They could even go as far as retinal (eye-scanning) technology to ID people and it still wouldn't be the "Mark of the Beast".

The number "666" is the mark of the beast. During tribulation, whoever wants to receive food, water, exc, will begin a mark, probably some sort of tatoo, that will show they are followers of the antichrist. 666, is the number in the Bible that represents the mark of the beast.

Its the "Mark of The Beast"...I wonder if the date 9.09.09 will cause as much hysteria since another portent of the Apocolypse is "reversal"...meaning the up-side down. As in the up-side down crucifix, the pentogram "point" of the star pointing down, etc. Any further thoughts? The Bible also eludes to the Anti-Christ as "walking as a man of Trust". I'm no theologen, but that's a little lore frightening and alarming than an archaic notion that 666 is an omen of His coming.

First off John tells us in his epistle, "Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour." (1 John 2:18) In the Greek language, letters of the alphabet are also represented by numbers. 666 in Greek translates to "Nero". Nero was the roman Emperor during the early church who tried to kill all Christians. He was an awful man, he had his wife and even his own mother killed because he was suspicious of them. He ended up slaughtering thousands of Christians. HE was the antichrist.

Well by may of next year every one will be required to have a National Id card. With out it u can not buy or sell, or renew your license. This is the precursor to the the RID chip that will be implanted in you skin.Also if you don't have an National id card you will be fined 3000, So can you imagine walking down the street and a cop asking you for ID PLEASE. Sounds like what happend in WW2

666 is the sign of the Beast, Satan's (Demon man), The Antichrist perhaps will be given its last battle against the beast, went? we don't know, and will not be necessary to day.
