Worn-out bodies Are shed by the dweller. "

Good question. Single-celled organisms don't die of old age - They reproduce by dividing, so they just keep going forever, unless and until they die by accident or predation. It's hard to see any evolutionary advantage to dying - After all, if an individual large animal (e.g. a mammal) could just keep living and breeding indefinitely, you'd think it would have a huge advantage over other individuals.

However, perhaps old age is an accidental consequence of some early evolutionary change in the genetic code, which wasn't a disadvantage at the time, and has been carried on ever since, simply because immortality would require a much too fundamental change in the way genes work for the undirected process of evolution to achieve. Evolution can only make changes that are possible through slow, incremental, random alterations, not instant and fundamental changes in structure or function.

We die because there is a "counter" on our DNA that degrades every time our cells reproduce. As this degrades, our new cells are less good, and we have "aged." This doesn't happen in all animals. It happens in animals that have limited resources in their environment. Space is also a resource. Evolutionary adaptation takes generations, and I don't mean "a long time," I mean generations. New generations are the opportunity for mutation and old generations must not pose resistance to the new generation's success. So the old generation dies. We die so our children can live where we do and have enough food.

Since your question is in the 'religious' category, one assumes you want a religious answer.
Genesis 2:17 don't eat fruit from a certain tree or you'll die.
Adam ate, Adam died.
Romans 5:12 "through one man sin entered the world, and thus death spread to all men."
So now the question is:
Will this go on forever or is there a remedy?

It depends on how you look at it. A simple answer is that we just kind of gradually wear out and fade away. I believe in God. Whether you do or not is up to you, but I believe that there is a bigger purpose. We die, because we sin, and the wages of sin are death. I don't like the idea of death, and sounds like you don't either, but unfortunately its something we all face.

We die because if we didn't, there would be way too many people. Its the last part of Natural Selection, once we pass on our genes, we die to allow room for our offspring to reproduce.

Scientifically people and animals die because we have linear chromosomes whose telomeres (ends) get degraded over our lifetimes, and eventually we start losing essential DNA, making us age and die. Religiously, that's up to your belief system... and the next question would be, why do we have linear chromosomes? We are programmed to die, so you could answer that religiously.

Because of sin. Sin destroys the flesh and everything that made has done to the Earth is one of things such as pollution and other environmental issues. Mainly, HUMAN BEINGS put anything and everything into their bodies and outside their bodies like chemicals and other things.

guess its the biological process.would'nt it be great if we could transfer the mind to a new maybe younger body each time. on the flip side, i am sure people would eventually wipe out each other from earth trying to acqire more wealth , power etc.
ultimately it helps to keep the balance of nature on earth. by enjoying each moment we can enjoy every moment of life since death is assured anyway.

From the day we are born, we age and that leads to death. There was a book out called - Timeless mind, Ageless body - meant to show the co-relation between mind and body.

The Bible tells us, " For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 6:23) It's because of our sin that we die.
