I just set them outside and they keep flying around in their cage and running into the sides (cute, funny, but is it ok?). I know I've been asking alot of questions about my bestest friends but I just want to be the best owner that I can. (If you could write me a book on being a perfect bird owner that would be great, lol!)

Try covering all but one side of the cage. It may be way too much stimulation especially if they aren't used to it. That may help settle them down. Also, never put them in direct sunlight it gets too hot. If it's really breezy, that's not great either. These birds were not bred to be outside. Still, I also let my cockatiels stay out, but in a covered location and only when the weather is absolutely perfect.
Good luck!

I think it may be just excitement as birds really love to be outside. On the other hand, when you put them out for the first time, they may have seen a bird of prey or something scary and they may now think that every time they are outside that danger is going to appear again.

Make sure that at least one side of the cage is against a wall. Birds feel much more secure that way. When all four sides of the cage are exposed, they feel vulnerable and are always expecting to pounce on them.

In general it's okay, but you need to be sure that the temperature outside is appropriate: not too hot or too cold. Also, depending on what sort of wild animals live in your area, you may have to stay outside to watch them. I would not leave them outdoors unsupervised at all.

If you have so many questions about your birds, you should talk to someone at your local animal shelter. Also, if you don't have an avian veterinarian, you should get one immediately.

It's perfectly fine, its just the new environment, being outside. I mean they want to get out when they hang on to the sides. Just be careful and make sure they don't get out, there is a possibility they can get out and they won't come back. (sorry i'm being negative) Keep an eye on them when they're outside.

sure ! they're probably just excited to be out in the fresh air. Or wish they could be out there flying insted of being stuck in a cage :P

I have taken my bird from car to home, but not too long, she loved it

For me, I afraid that mine:
*would get stung by a bee or insect
*Have allergies or breath in chemicals
