AFTER...you won't be as hungry and why would you want to eat before exercise?? If you need some carbs before walking, drink some juice. Hydrate yourself well. You'll be surprised how much exercise will cut your appetite.

I always heard that you should eat after walking. I dont know why but I guess you burn more that way. Also its like swimming you could get a cramp if you eat before!!!

It helps to put something in your stomach before a workout, but something small like a piece of fruit..a banana or a peach. Then something lowfat when you come back, like oatmeal if its the morning.
