Be yourself. If you "try" to impress her it will show. Most girls don't like phony people.
Also talk to her. Spend time communicating with her and listening to her. Show her that she is important to you and what she says is important.
Lastly, treat her with the respect a lady deserves. I liked the fact that you used the word lady in your question.

Don't try to be something you are not. Never lie or stretch a truth. Most men don't have common etiquette knowlege these days. I have even had men walk through a door before me and let it shut in my face. Just knowing how to be polite can be a great first impression. Read a little on etiquette and use it. Its a life skill. Continue even after you've established a relationship. Listen well to her and show her that she is important to you. Its not about the car you drive, your muscles, your money. Its how you treat her. That is the most impressive.

Be yourslef there's nothing greater than that. Take it from a lady. Don't try to impress us just let it happen and you don't have to be all funny not every lady likes that and that's not cute to everyone. Listen to what we have to say and please don't act as if your our daddy we already have one most of us atleast. Be cool and don't act as if you know everything treat us right and ever once in a while buy us something nice and remeber it's the thought that counts and if not for her move on.

Flatter her, tell her she is the most gorgeous lady in the world, act funny and make her laugh, be generous-money-wise or otherwise, respect her, be passionate but not lewd, anticipate her readiness for carnal love but don't force yourself on her. it depends on the woman. all ladies are not the same.Be yourself,honest,polite,be a gentleman but be confident and friendly. but all ladies like to pampered.so don't forget little gifts,some roses, little romantic notes,emails,sms or letters,some pleasant surprises...

Traits that attract me are a nice smile,humor,good hygiene,manners,intelligence as well as common sense,and a guy that can adapt to most any given situations..oh and financial stability is nice too..no not rich..just responsible and self supporting..=)
