Okay my whole family is going to Ecuador and all of us are getting ready.
There is just one problem ...i am wanting to take my dog Scoobie,but i cant my parents tolled me that he is too playfull and ..well we cant take him.Oh yeah im leaving for a month and i need to find a place to leave him that long.Is there a place to leave a dog for a moth?

In a kennel do they treat dogs good?

Please, for your own dog's health do not put him in a kennel. I just got back from a week long trip and I left my dogs in a kennel and they felt 5 pounds lighter when I got them back. It's almost a week now and they're finally getting back to their normal personality. Your dog will think you have abandoned him and he will not eat without you. Find a close realative or friend that your dog is familiar with and leave him there. You're dog will be much happier there.

Look in the phone book. Some people have in home kennels where they take care of your dog for as long as you are gone.

A kennel is probably your best bet. Check with your vet to see which ones are good. Some are better than others.

check with local vets in your area, but there should be dog kennel places that keep your pets while you go on vacation. otherwise start asking around to people that you know to keep him/her. or you could have someone come over to the house to let them out and to watch the food and water.

instead of putting your dog in a kennel take him to a doggy day care.he will be able to run around and play with the other dogs all day instead of a cage.

if you have a freind whose wilin to do it great, but if not ask a pet store or a dog daycare and they'll take care of it. Goodluck and have fun in ecuador

if there is a petsmart or something like that near you, they have something called petshotel.its like a kennel, and ive heard most people that have used it were staisfied with the care given to there animals.

look for a pet sitter. sometimes there are flyers in pet stores
