6 years is pretty long and yet he does not want anything serious. Obviously you both want different things. Whats' the point then? Perhaps you grow too comfortable with him not necessary content. Time to move on and look for someone different.

Well, if in the 6 yrs he never changed his mind about making it more serious, I am sorry to tell you leave him alone. He will not miss you, he will just move on to the next friend with benefits. This guy does not want anything serious, he just wants to do his own thing. It's sad that you wasted 6 yrs. on this nut case but move on.

NO!!!! He already told you he didn't want you. Also, a guy KNOWS if you are going to be the "Mrs." after 6 months. That is a proven fact. Not after 6 years. You were just that, friends with benefits. To keep around when he was in between other relationships, boredom, felt sorry for you pathetic ***, etc. Move on and work on your self-esteem.

There is always a chance but odds are that he only wanted to be with you for the sex and has other "friends with benefits" to turn to. This is what eventually happens in these situations. One person develops feelings and the other one doesn't. In the end they can't even be friends.
