Why does it seem like everybody in the Bible was depressed?

David was suicidal (have you ever read Psalms? You can't get anywhere in that book without reading about how dead he thought he was)...
The apostles fought...
It seems like every character in the Bible was depressed or has issues. Is this because they were eating lies?
Maybe they wrote the book to vent.

Fabulous question. They're not too different than us are they. It it easy to get depressed, 'cause we rarely live our lives the way God intended us to live them. David also experienced "joy and delight in the Lord" when he was living out God's perfect will for his life.

Every character in the Bible was depressed or had issues because every human does.

look for the good in things not the bad - how many people can you find in the Bible that were happy - and we all have bad days and good days - look at all of these 'depressed' people's good days as well
