I really like him a lot, besides the part where the majority of his time is spent studying. I understand being a medical student is really hard and stressful, and in one more year he will be an intern at my dads hospital. I definitly know from looking at my dad that doctors have absolutly no life at all. My boyfriend is 23 going on 24 in two weeks. I just turned 19 a month ago and basically all i have on my mind right now is partying, so i want my boyfriend to experience the party life with me, how can i convince him before he goes to be an intern?

maybe he's not for you. he's dedicating his life to medicine and you're still really young. he's done with that young party stuff... and it sounds like he's in a good place. don't pull him back down to the party lifestyle. if you really think that's important in your life, do him a favor and leave him alone so he can find someone stable.

DO NOT convince him of being irresponisble!
If you all don't have that in common, then you shouldn't be with him! But he is trying to make a good life for himself! And possibly for you too. You need to respect that and support him!
Would you rather be married to a doctor, or a trashy party dude that is wasted all the time, and has no money???

Well firl he is studying but u r right u have to balance woek and play. Maybe u could trick him tell him that he is going to a doctr associion meeting and take him to a party and help him not ot be so tense. But u also have to buckle down to because he is a docotor u cant party all the time u have to grow up too.

GOD bless you

Explain to him that all work and no play make Jack a dull boy... also... its not right on your part to force your boyfriend...Relationships are all about giving and taking space... Its about understanding and supporting each other... He is working hard for the future... Its a good thing if you intend marrying your boyfriend... But explain to him that you'd like him to spend your 19th birthday with youl... If you say it in a nice way... am sure he'll understand :) good luck :)

you can't...partying is temperory, becoming a doctor is a priority. You should be grateful to have someone who knows his responsibilities. Perhaps, as social status goes he's the perfect man to be a bf and husband material. But you gotta ask yourself if this is the type of person you want to spend the rest of your life with, nevermind your parents preference?

He needs to find a real woman who understands that life is more than parties and a good time. YOU NEED TO GROW UP!! If you are a real woman, then you will be as supportive as possible. Or, go find yourself a loser with no future who just wants to party.

Whenever he gets a break from studying is when you should try to get him to come to a party. If you take him away from his study, he could quickly lose control of his schooling and end up failing himself out.

there's more to life than partying girl. going to med school is no joke and u have to seriously consider that. i'm sure he would love to spend time with u, even to a party but please do not say that "how can i get my boyfriend to get a life?" it's like saying that what he has been sacrificing for years is an oblivious exercise of emptiness.

I think u should let him be and maybe he's not the one for u. Yes doctors really don't have a life I agree but if that's wat he wants to do u have to let him go for it. Just because u want him to do something doesn't mean u can make him turn down his dreams.

Leave him alone! In a few years when he's out of school and making a boat load of money then you can think about parting!

Don't be so selfish!
