Is that the kind of treatment you think about when you think of a Boyfriend? I don’t think so I think…No. No I know you can do much better than that. If he is just as close in age as you and has this kind of limited focus then you’re in for a long bumpy ride in a car with the windows up and no ac.
Try this out the next time the two of you go out call it a personal outing (meaning: you pay for you and me for me) and if he has a problem doing that, start looking for someone that can and wants to spend the time and money it takes to care for some one of you incredible status.

How long hasnt he had a job? If it s temporary and you think he'd do the same for you, then go ahead, its no big deal.

However, if he is a LEECH and doesnt show any desire to break that pattern, then 1st) stop taking him out, tell him that your constantly having to pay is getting to be a real stress on your finances; 2nd) dump him & move on

It is your choice. I did this for 12 years. But he cleaned the house and did my laundry. Is he contributing his part. THink of a stay-home mom. Her hubby has to pay when they go out but she is providing an important service. Basically it's up to you. I think it's frustrating you or you would not have asked about it. Just stop taking him out and tell him he can cook a romantic dinner for you. Of course you still have to buy the groceries but make him go to the store while you are working.

If he can't provide for you now, what would happen if you were to marry of have any kids. Sounds like he is too immature and he should change or you should find someone that would take care of you!

Give him an ultimatum

Either he gets off his bum and gets a job, or...you leave him. A man needs to be able to support himself and his girlfriend.
