If he is eating to fast then give him a little then wait a while and give him some more. But if you think he is eat to much then just give him a smaller amount. If you are really worried about he then I would take him to the vet to see if there is any thing wrong with him. Good luck

I have 3 cats myself. 2 were once strays that I rescued and made pets. The 3rd is a pedigreed Siamese. It's fascinating to watch them eat because the 2 former strays are ravenous beasts who eat like they don't know when their next meal will be and the Siamese is totally finicky and eats here and there whenever he feels like it. Unfortunately, the other two will often eat his food before he has even had a chance to touch it.

It's always been a problem for me. I used to feed my Siamese in a separate room just so he could eat. It was a pain. Finally, I decided to just try and let the 3 of them work it out. And yes, my Siamese was hungry A LOT. He started begging me for food whenever I was in the other room where I used to feed him. And it broke my heart but I held out. I wouldn't cave in. Then, when I fed them and he was non-chalant again, I would pick him up and put him in front of the bowl and tell him, "EAT or the other two are gonna eat it for you!" And FINALLY...he started eating what was in his bowl when it was put down in front of him. I guess he needed to know what hunger felt like so he could learn to appreciate feeding time. Feeding him separately was a way of spoiling him to a certain extent. He needed to be more like an "alleycat" and less like a pedigreed "prima donna". ;-)

As for your other cat wolfing everything down too quickly here is a suggestion. If you currently feed your cats once a day, you should consider feeding a smaller portion of food twice a day. It's actually better for the cat overall. The only drawback to this is that you will find yourself no longer needed an alarm clock in the morning whether you have to get up early or not! You may even want to try and pace your cat by putting just a few morsels of food in his bowl...letting him eat them...waiting a few seconds and then giving a few more morsels. In this way you are teaching him to slow down when he eats. Do this a few times and see if it does the trick. If the cat continues to vomit, you definitely want to visit your vet. He may have a food allergy or a reflux condition. Good luck!

Put a decent sized rock in the food bowl with the food around it. We had a cat that did this as well...turned out he was eating too fast & getting too full. The rock slows them down so they feel full quicker.

Is it the amount the cat is eating or the rate at which he's eating it? Smaller portions are a good place to start, definitely take him to the vet though.
