how about being a strong partner and just be by her side when she's ready to talk or reach out. you can't be much of a boyfriend when you are drunk and puking in the gutter. just be patient.

If she's going through a lot most of the time girls like to deal with stuff of their own. Let your presence be known that your there for her IF she needs you. Other than that as much as you want to help sometimes the best help you can give is space. Let her come to terms with whatever she's dealing with. Don't turn to drugs or alcohol because that won't solve anything. It will make things fade away for a few hours but in all reality they'll be right back as soon as you high/buzz goes away.
In the long run I'm sure she will notice and appreciate the space you have given her. She will be happy to know that in the midst of all her problems you were the one she could always turn to if needed. Good luck buddy!

Hello my friend! I have to be honest, reading your question, really made me sad. As a recovering addict and alcoholic, my heart hurts for you to hear you say this. Please keep your head up and don't try to fill your emptyness with drugs and alcohol. It will only make things worse. I have been through so much in my life and today I am clean and never thought I could do this. I see the world with a whole new set of eyes and I have peace and happiness now. I used to be suicidal and full of depression and misery. Please don't choose that path to HELL! If you really love your girlfriend, just be there for her. By getting loaded, you will be throwing anything good away. Don't give up sweetheart, you are going to make it! God will NEVER give us more than we can handle. Maybe you need some space between the two of you. Pray about it and allow God to lead you. God loves you and wants you to be happy and I love you too! I will pray for you and everything will work out for the best. Just choose the right path and do the next right thing. And lastly, remember this.... Yesterday is gone, tomorrow may never come, so live in just TODAY and do your best. It's okay to feel the way you are feeling, it's not abnormal, it's just a matter of what you do with those feelings. Everyone of us goes through this and has to make the choice to not fall in the pit of hell! You are going to be okay, I have faith in you!

Just be her shoulder to lean and cry on when she is ready to talk. Always be there for her. She will appreciate it later when all the drama has left her life and the only thing that is left is You, who eased her thru this time in her life. She isnt pushing you away on purpose. She just has a lot on her plate. Try to understand.

Please try to pull yourself together. Do NOT even think of using drugs and/or alcohol to solve ANYTHING. It will only destroy you!
Do NOT ruin your life in that way. If she's pushing you away, rather than bringing you close, that is HER problem. She may be on a road of self destruction. You can only help yourself, before you can possibly help her.

UHM...IF YOU WANT TO LEAVE HER TELL HER AND LEAVE HER..
WHY WOULD YOU PUT YOURSELF IN A BAD SITUATION JUST TO LEAVE A PERSON?
IF YOU CANT BE WITH HER THEN DONT...IF YOU FEEL BAD JUST BE LIKE YOU CANT BE WITH SOMEONE WHO IS NEGATIVE ALL THE TIME...
OR AT LEAST LEAVE HER BUT LET HER KNOW YOU'LL BE THERE AS A FRIEND AND YOU'LL HELP HER WHEN SHE HAS A PROBLEM BUT YOU CANT HAVE A SERIOUS RELATIONSHIP WITH HER ANYMORE...
