Her's an interesting statistic I heard once. Can't remember the source though.

If everybody woke up one same morning and looked in the mirror and thought " Hmm, fine exactly the way I am." the world economy would colapse within 15 days.

Reason being that so many billion dollar industries are founded on the fact that people are not sattisfied with who and how they are and are constantly seeking change. Along with this are the massive network of other businesses that are intertwined with and dependant on these businesses until eventually practically every nations economy is touched or affected by it.

curly hair is nice on men but if you are set on straightening there is a fairly new system. Thermal straighteners use heat and chemicals and you can have STRAIGHT hair until it grows off. It is costly and only exclusive salons do it. You have to have specialized training to do it. Check around in your area. You might try using a chi flat iron first to be certain straight hair is for you. Sometimes we can get what we want but what we had was really a lot better!

There are products on the market to help eliminate the Frizz of the hair, which will lead to a straighter hair. You can find Shampoos, Conditioners and special hair lotions with the Anti-Frizz, Liss-Intense action.
Products with Serum are very helpful.

Hi XXX! Good news for ya! Drugstores and Walmart sell the product you're looking for. It's in the haircolor dept and is a "hair straightener" kit. I think it's the answer for you. A haircut will not straighten your hair, unfortunately. Neither will a shampoo or conditioner. Hold on, I'm fixin to go searching for you and see if I can find the product I'm talking about.......
There's more out there but here's one... I know it has a girl on the box but darnet, it's hair - right.
Just go browseing the isle at drugstores or walmart or target and you'll see what I'm talking about. Good luck!

I say before you try radical chemicals, like straighteners or perms, which can make your hair limp, try a line of shampoos and conditioners for frizzy hair. They definitely work and maybe that's all you need. Look for the words Frizz Control. the brands Frizz-Ease, John Frieda, and L'Oreal make very good ones.

I agree that curly hair is nice on men.
My only advice is to: get shampoo oriented towards straight hair (sleek and smooth ot something like that). Also you can use hair gel or beer to wrap plaster your hair to your head unti it dries. If it's long just wrap it around. The only problem with beer is, you can't get it wet after that or you will smell like a brewery.

try a flat iron. And natural oils to get rid of the poof don't use too much oil though, blow dry to decrease light greasiness. a few drops of natural oils go a long way and they make your hair smell nice. I use Orange oil, Lemon oil, and Lavender oil. Not all at the same time though. I straighten my hair, it is poofy not really curly just lots of body

Buy a perm. Don't roll it, just use a comb and comb the solutions through your hair. Then follow the rest of the directions to neutralize it. It will stay straight for a while.

Hi,

Have you tried a salon, they can use mild relaxers? Or a hot blow drier, section hair in small parts using a straighting serum, such as Frizz Izz. This my help.
Good luck
