If you are not over your ex & you are trying to be friends it wont work you will need to distance yourself just get busy with other things like gym a project, a job, anything and start dating nothing serious just anyone who wants to go out for the night. You never know if you find someone else to fill those shoes. If you try to be your ex's friend before resolving the attraction you still have for him you will get into many fights due to jealousy & unresolved issues with him.

You will never truly loose your feelings for the other person. Over time they will loose their intensity. The best thing to do is to try and remain friends without any benefits. Limit how much you talk to each other and what you talk about. This will help you out a little, but, there will always be a piece of you that cares about him.

From personal experience I'd say it's if your finding it hard to get over someone it's because you have strong feelings for them and keeping in contact with them only makes it that much harder. Keep away for a little while, just so you have time to get over him without the risk of falling for him again. Stay strong and good luck hun!

If you are still between the sheet with this person, than it can' t end, that is the tie that is holding you two still together, you need to end it and go on with your life. Live life to the fullest and there are always more fish in the sea.

You have to force yourself to not look at him as a possible dating partner. Very difficult to do, but not impossible. Just keep your conversations on a "friend" basis and be careful not to cast furtive or longing glances, which may be interpreted by him as "she is still interested in me."

Good luck.

Unless you share a child you are just putting yourself through extra misery. Move on and find a new love to be friends with.

As long as your still communicating you will never be over him.

And if your asking this question then you are not over him or consider him an ex to begin with,.
