Why is it that in suggesting that we have the law of god as found in Leviticus 25.44 I am told no.

Why pick and choose Gods law?

You assume too much.

There are many Christians out there concerned about protecting the proper definition of marriage. Just because there happens to be a whole lot of them doesn't mean other moral issues are being ignored.

Some Christians concerned about protecting marriage might also be working to promote other moral causes. And then, yes, there are a number of them who care only for protecting marriage. And then there are Christians who are ignoring Marriage Protection in favor of another moral cause.

Don't presume to read the minds of people you don't know.

No one Christian can do everything. Some are called to champion one moral cause, while others are called to promote others.

Christians, because of their faith, have a moral insight into the marriage issue that is not readily understood by secular humanists. That is why Christians, in general, are promoting Marriage Protection.

See, you are criticizing something you don't understand.

Leviticus is the laws BEFORE Jesus came to free us from sin.

You have to read the old testament and then the new, don't just pick verses someone else has showed you.

You can't marry your pet and you can't marry relatives until first cousin at least. So I would say all the rest of God's laws on that topic ARE already banned.

Everyone tends to pick and choose what they want out of the bible. And you can find anything there. Pro-gay sites will have tons of quotes where the bible supports homosexuality. People pick and choose based on their values. They find what they want in there. Everybody can.
