I am now shopping for a roadbike. To see if I want get into it I would like to start 'low-end' thus these two bikes come up.
I would like some user expereinces with these models or brands.

They are both great bikes. I've owned three Treks and one Specialized. Loved em all. I would see which frame geometry best suits you comfort-wise, and go with that. My preference is Trek usually, but you can't go wrong either way.

I think Trek is the best bike you can buy, in terms of over all quality.When it comes down to it the italian bikes, Davinci, Bianci are the best bikes on the market.

If i were you, i would get the specialized because the are generally better bikes. it may cost a little more, but with bikes, u get wat u pay for. treks are good but not as good as specialized. ive had a few specialized bikes in my life and the all lasted forever.

it is all about the fit, ride them both, which one are you more comfortable on? test ride them, pedel standing up on them, just see what feels the best and then choose. I have a pilot 5.0 and love it, never been on a specialized but they are nice too.
