as an agnostic looking for answers can someone help me?

Question

ive found myself searching and asking (almost praying) to find out if god is there and for him to speak to me

perhaps you are the vehicle he will use?

i need to talk to someone who will not spew endless bibile verses at me, but discuss this with me, can you help?

god is within you and everyone and everything. our bodies and the whole material universe is an illusion. to find god you must turn within yourself.
each of us(not our bodies) has a spark of god within. these sparks in individuals are not seperate, they are one. we only think they must be seperate because we erroniously percieve ourselves to be seperate from others. don't look out into the material universe to find some god that talks like you do. look to the universe within yourself, for in the true reality that's where we all are and we are all the same thing.

A renown atheist philosopher once said, "Unless you assume the existence of god, life is meaningless."

I know you're agnostic, not atheist, but I suspect that quote could have meaning to you regardless.

Those who don't believe in God, or have no belief whatsoever, are faced with a question that even science cannot answer definitively, "How are we here today?"

Even honest atheistic and agnostic scientists and philosophers will tell you it's more likely the universe was created by a higher order of being than an accident of nature.

The very fact you even suspect there's more to life than meets the eye, should serve as proof that there indeed is more out there. Most people, in fact, do believe in a deity. The major disagreement comes as far as which one is right. But the question of whether or not there is a deity, this question has been decided overwhelmingly in favor of a deity.

Interesting question...I would imagine it hard to explain something like that to someone. To this day no scientist could prove or disprove a god or spirits. You need to search inside yourself to understand that. To know yourself is to know God, because every human (if you want to believe it or not) has a divine spark which is the manifestation of God. Sometimes we just don't understand the way that the universe opperates.

Seriously, begin with philosophy 101 and see what peaks your interest and go from there, you will have a life time full of surprises and fun stuff to think and talk about.

There is no way to "prove" that God/s exist. It is something a person must experience for themselves. You may come up with your own personal theology that is very different that what you were, or weren't taught in Sunday School.

Personally, I am not of the belief that God is a "him" or a "her" but an "IT" an unknowable energy that one does not converse with, but experiences as a feeling of wholeness.

I sent you an email. I would be glad to discuss it with you. :) There is no way a person can prove that there is a G-d or not, but just talking with someone about religion and studying religion itself helps a lot.
