I think Jesus is great. I think we need to have Gods laws be imposed on America.

Therefor we should start with Leviticus 25.44, and not gay marriage.

Jesus is my savior. Praise Jesus. We must have Gods laws. The laws against slavery are an abomination against Leviticus 25.44, this is Gods laws.

God is great
Jesus is great

Gods laws are great

Leviticus 25.44 is great

Slavery is great

The king james bible is the word for word truth of god

I submit to you oh God oh Jesus save me Jesus save me I am a sinner

save me

Leviticus 25.44 is making slavery permissible it is Gods law

we must have gods law

we must stop this ban on gay marriage and do what the bible says and stone gays

jesus is my savior
he is the risen lord

I understand the sarcasm. In case you actually do want to follow up this, here's some starting points:

1. Slavery in the Biblical sense was more an "indentured servant" scenario and NOTHING like the plague that was slavery in the US two hundred years ago. (I read somewhere that only three instances of such a horrendous variation of slavery occurred throghout known history, and we were responsible for one of them. In all other cultures, slavery was MUCH different and shouldn't be referred to as slavery, in these terms.)

There were different socio-economic reasons why this setup existed in that culture, and people referred to as "slaves" had extensive rights and were (I think) even released after a period of time. But you should really read up on the system before you start comparing to the system you know from US history.

2. Israel ran under a theocracy, amid various pagan cultures of the time who would have sought to exterminate them and who threatened their national identity. Most of the prohibitions deal with ways to protect the nation from falling apart in that environment, and preserving the national identity.

3. Laws are specific to the culture, intentions behind the laws are more universal but harder to apply. Christians are obviously still trying to figure out what "principles" should be preserved from the OT law in our society today.

4. By the time Jesus showed up, some of the laws weren't even practiced. Stoning for adultery was rare, for example... and in the one instance we have recorded in the NT, Jesus tells the kangaroo court that they're all sinners and are in no position to judge, and then he tells the woman to go home and "sin no more." So we see some different standards arising.

Hope these ideas trigger some more exploration.

If you want to do what God says you wouldn't want to force religion or belief in a god on America or any one else, since God gave everyone free choice.

Have you considered that your disrespectful mocking of God could be offensive and hurtful to people who really DO believe in Him?

Or do you not care about that?

There is a verse, which you've probably read which says, "Be not decieved. God is not mocked. For whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." You might possibly want to consider that.

You can live your life any way you want to. That's your God-given right. But in the end, it will still be God's law (the Ten Commandments) by which your deeds and attitude are judged.

You can mock it, but you can't stop it from happening.

Jesus said two things you are conveniently forgetting: "render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's"; and "I have come to replace the Old Law with a new law". In other words, Jesus agreed there is a need for a civil, non-religious government. He also replaced the Old Testament (Leviticus) with only 2 new laws, namely, Love God, and Love Your Neighbor as Yourself. So it seems to me that so long as a gay person loves God and treats others decently, he is as much entitled to Heaven as you are and you should leave him (or her) alone. Or, as Jesus also said, "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone."

You've obviously not got anyone to fix your coffee and eggs this morning do you? The answer I like the other day was one guys notion that as we climb higher on the ladder of evolution the more acceptable homosexuality is. This explained extinction very clearly to me, and if we would turn everything over to homosexuality we could stop worrying about a lot of things, like the end of the world, the need to evangelize, global warming, rising oil and gas pump prices, because we too would become extinct!

I believe we should have the bible as our standard to live by in America, but it would have to be the NEW TESTAMENT,the old testament is history and under the law instead of grace. No one would want to go back to the law, we would have to start sacrificing animals again and it would be totally different than under grace. I don't believe you want that either.

As long as it's not the leviticus thing against tattoos and piercings!

Because, honestly, shellfish and mixed fibers ARE abominations, and use of them should be a punishable offense.

I don't want to be rude but when you feel passionate about something you can be a little redundant. Just kidding. Sarcasm is always the answer. Just kidding again. Nothing more to be said.
