I think one problem many people have with relationships is the expectation that they can have no sexual experience and expect to marry someone and just hope for the best. Every once in a while here on YA there's a question about bizarre, clashing sexual attitudes in people's marriages. It really doesn't matter. There is no reason whatsoever to not be sexual unless you just feel that way. There is no rule or law, nor should there be. You will be a better person, a better mate, a better lover and a better spouse if you have experience and a mature, healthy attitude towards it. I'm male and it may surprise you to hear it, but the best part of sex to me is the intimacy - being THAT close with a woman I love.

Sorry but yeah. All that stuff is wrong before marriage.
Strictly speaking, the only moral sex act is that which takes place between a married man and woman (married to each other of course) in which no artificial contraception is used.
And, yes, masturbation is wrong to.
Don't get me wrong, I am not a naive Christian fundi or whatever. I know that these morals are far easier said than done. But it's God's will, and we need to follow it.
Biblical proof, you ask? What about the Commandment 'Thou Shall not Commit Adultery.'
Sorry but don't try to 'loophole' your way around the word 'adultery' by citing it's current definition. What you need to consider is that word's meaning at the time the Ten Commandments were penned. At the time, 'adultery' was the sin of anyone who did not remain chaste.

The Bible does not have a specific reference to masterbation. In other words, there is no direct opinion on it such as "Thou shalt not kill" is obvious that we are not to murder. Yet there are numerous Biblical passages that warn of giving in to "the lust of the flesh" such as 1 Peter 2:1 ("abstain from fleshly lusts"), James 1:14-15 ("when lust is conceived it gives birth to sin"), and 2 Timothy 2:22 ("flee from youthful lusts"). Obviously masterbation is a lust of the flesh and would fall under the sin category. I think the key here is that masterbation will come to a point where it isn't satisfying any more and you will be tempted to go to the next level. As you can see you have already gone on to additional sexual acts, and there will come a point where these aren't satisfying enough either. As mentioned this will eventually lead to fornication, or sex before marriage. Remember that the body is never satisfied and is always craving more. As for doing other things before getting married, my pastor always said "Don't do anything with your gf/bf that would upset you if someone else were doing it right now with your future wife/husband". Of course when you think about it this is easier said than done!

A older definition of masturbation is "self-abuse." Although more modern dictionaries may no longer carry this definition, they are still linked together under self-abuse:
Self-abuse noun¹
1. Abuse of oneself or one's abilities.
2. Masturbation.
1 Corinthians 6:18 (NIV) further confirms this, saying that unlawful sexual relations defile our own bodies. "Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body."

The latter part of your question is called fornication and yes it is referred to as sin in the scripture therefore making it wrong prior to marriage - I use to hold to the notion that masturbation was a natural thing and therefore was probably not wrong, but after working with troubled teens and knowing what they had to do to conjure up the images they chose to masterubate, I began to realize this was not allowing them to keep any kind of focus on Christ, therefore it was wrong as well.

no masterbation is not wrong in some backgrounds and is more and more accecpted in to todays society as part of puberty, but most people use it throughout their lives depending on themselves of course but no it is not abnormal it may be immoral to certain religious groups but not in the what we would call the mordern living. and that goes for sex as you use precaution like a condom for example to prevent std's and aids

I'm pretty sure that if you read the Bible closely enough, you can find that it has a problem with pretty much EVERYTHING that exists in our modern world.
So, which is better?
