Would it down right out be WEIRD to wear a wedding dress (already picked one out that is kinda extreme), get nails and hair done, etc... to get married at J.O.P. I do not want a big wedding because I want to save money for HONEYMOON.

I agree with everyone else. You guys should do what makes you both happy. It's your day (and his). Nothing wrong with wanting to skip all the stress of planning a huge wedding, and concentrating all your efforts and money on a great honeymoon. Best wishes to you both and have a fantastic honeymoon.

It's your day, and even if it's at a justice of the peace, you can still dress in the way that you want. Just think how pretty your pictures will be with you in that dress, and how wonderful you'll feel.
If you want to wear a wedding gown, go for it! Have your fiance' wear a tux too!

Will it make YOU happy? Is your soon to be SPOUSE okay with the idea? If so, then who cares what anyone else thinks?? Life is TOO SHORT to worry about what others think. You are entering into this marriage to give yourself and your 'soon-to-be' very happy and that's all that counts. Nothing wrong with a wedding dress at the JOP. We got married at the court house and I wore my dress, it was nice, free, and we even got a bottle of champagne from the JOP

No, make your day special no matter how you do it. Use your dress, just because you are going to J.O.P doesn't mean you shouldn't get all dressed up and be beautiful. Congratulations!!!!
