Water is a compound made of hydrogen and oxygen.
If you boil it, that compound does not disappear (some evaporates of course)

What does happen is that bacteria and other things in the water are killed.
Boiling water does not tend to remove trace elements and certainly not the water part, which is the most important.
So no, it doesn't :)

I gusee you could say that boiling the water simply cooks the bacteria to make it edible. It doesn't change the taste of the water. However, warm water usually seems to taste different then cold water because of the temperature's affect on the taste buds.

no...this is absolutely a myth. water, by definition, is H2O (ie. made up of only hydrogen and oxygen molecules). no amount of boiling in the world will change the chemical structure...only the form will change from liquid to steam. boiling will also destroy harmful bacteria. but be careful about using kettles with rusty coils...then you may be drinking rust and other impurities
