No. Christopher Columbus re-discovered it. His men destroyed much of it's inhabitants and genocidal murderring of the Arawak people occurred. There have been many peoples circumnavigating the globe before C.C. The coastal West-Africans were the first to develop the boat. There remains much proof of their existence as one of the first successful sea-farers; as they would trade with many peoples. The descendants of West-Africans habituated with the Native Americans.

Columbus was on a quest to go to India. On reaching America, he thought he had reached India because of the Old Indians that were inhabiting it.

certainly not, infact there is no need to discover as it was already existing and there may be a controversy as to who came first whether columbus or viking neverthless it is the indians who lived there only discovered the land and no one else can have the title except the indians.....
