It needs to be exercised at least twice a day for no less than half an hour each time, but as long as you give it exercise, and lots of acceptable things to chew, and lots of love, then there is no reason you can't raise it in a small apartment. Labs are smart, energetic dogs and they need a lot of mental stimulation and exercise to grow up to be the wonderful pets they can be. They also like to chew as puppies, so make sure your dog gets plenty of chew toys so he/she doesn't eat your landlord's carpeting.

It'll probably do better in your small apartment than some little high-strung yappy dog that will go nuts every time someone walks down the hallway.

Good luck.

I have a huge labrador in a 2 bd and we get along just fine, he is 4 and we walk atleast 30 mins twice a day (more when it's nice outside) and I let him run loose several times a week. The only thing I did differently when we moved to the smaller place was I started buying lots of chewy toys for him. He has about 25 toys, alittle overboard I know but he is never bored.

the biggest guy or woman, lol. No heavily, do the rents by utilising the dimensions of the rooms as quickly as you roll the cube or draw straws or in spite of the indisputable fact which you determine who gets what. in case you decide directly to get technical, degree the rooms, divide the full sort of sq. ft by utilising the full lease volume, and then apportion the lease to an identical share because of the fact the sq. pictures. i'm stepping into an apartment share next month to get some debt down and shop some money. there's a super room, a medium room and a touch smaller room. One will pay seven hundred hundred, you are able to nonetheless pay 500, and that i would be paying six hundred.

We had our first Newf in an apartment. If you have the commitment to make it work it can. It does however depend some on the dog. If it is a very hyper Lab, it may not do well. You will have to do a lot of walks!!!!

Sure, but you might want to take him to doggy day care during the day, or get a dog walker to come by a couple times a day.

it just depends on how much time it will be able to spend outside. a lab has alot of energy and they need enough space inside also so they can run and play inside as well as outside.
