It's clear you cannot afford a new car and your boyfriend is doing everything he possibly can to support you and also take you to work. It's also clear that at some point your boyfriend is selfish and you're also selfish. Maybe work out your problems and sometimes it helps to compromise. I think it's unfair that you end up paying for things he bought for himself. Your boyfriend sounds selfish. As they say it takes one to know one.

This sounds like the eternal what happens when two get together and move too fast, before proper plans are made. You both sound young with not the means to take care of things that need to be taken care of. First thing is to take a deep breath, stop fighting, and start listening to each other. Start considering each others feelings before speaking/thinking wrongly of each other.

You guys definitely need to talk. Does this car belong to one of you or both? Stop buying for him. Let him buy for the baby. Hunt for a deal and move on. If he has a problem, let him talk it out or get over it.

these things happen, your in a partnership with someone, listen to what he is saying and think about it, he maybe trying to make a point, it seems to me that all he is trying to do is to teach you how to save for a rainy day, if he wont/cant fix the car, catch a bus.

well, you should be grateful that he is helping proivde for your child. i don't think he's a loser, and if you can't afford a car payment, then you have to make some sacrifices. wouldn't you rather buy things for your baby then yourself? there's always public transportation.
