Have a routine. They need to play by themselves as well as be entertained by you so have mornings when they play together and then after lunch you do something exciting with them. Though they can't play outside you can bring water and sand inside, do it on a hard floor put down plastic sheets and they will play happy for ages. Sometimes have the sand wet and sometimes have it dry. Don't bring them out together. One day have water; one day have sand; one day have play dough (it is easy to make try Yahoo search or ask another question. Make it exciting. What will it be today? Then after lunch have a little rest, not necessarily a sleep but watch a video or something and then it is time for 'Do something with Mum'. Go on the Cbeebies (bbc.co.uk/cbeebies) site on the computer there are lots of things to make and do. Bubbles are great fun as is paint, or even combining the two. Have all this where it doesn't matter if you make a mess. I know how hard it is living in a country where the children can't just go out and play but it is possible to have fun inside. Have obstacle races with cushions and make tunnels and things. Buy a little bouncy castle (earlylearning.co.uk). Have fun!!

When my son was 4 during summer I taught him colors, how to write, pronunciation of each letter of the alphabet (through Leap Frog videos) and some math. It took a lot of hard work and patience but my summer was fruitful and he was more than ready for kindergarden! He ended up being above average and got good grades! I know it's only Kinder but his teacher apprecitated the fact that I took the time to teach him and didn't leave EVERYTHING to her. Besides that you can paint with them, teach them how to draw or even play the guessing game through pictures, color with them, read to them, teach them their ABC's. You should write an agenda for each day to plan what you're gonna do! That way you don't miss out on anything! Good luck!

Get games, teach them to cook, send them to a camp, go to a relative's house, color, teach them something from a school book, teach them to write, paint with them, read to them... possibilities are endless!
