This is a good question, but maybe you should ask it like this:

Is it normal NOT to have self esteem issues at age 30?

We are constantly bombarded with messages that we are not good enough, but we will be if we just buy this beauty cream, loose 10 pounds, buy a new car, take our family on a vacation, buy the best food for our pet, take care of our foul breath with the right mint, etc. etc. etc.

The message of love your self as you are, is not very visible right now. So to answer your question, I would guess that it is quite normal to have self esteem issues at 30, 50, 90, 110. Just because it is common though, does not mean we have to live with it .

It's weird. I have more issues with self-esteem now in my mid-30s than I ever did when I was a teenager. Not that I was one of those teenagers who thought they could do anything and that the world revolved around them, but back in high school/college, I always felt pretty good about myself and thought for sure I'd have a good (if unspectacular) future. 20 years later, nothing about my life has gone the way I thought it would -- at 36, I'm out of work, unmarried, have no family, never been in a relationship, still a virgin -- and my self-esteem is the lowest it's ever been.

It's normal to have self-esteem issues at any age. It really depends on the circumstances you are facing day to day and how well grounded and confident you are about yourself.

These issues dont have an age. Situations can make us emotionally unstable at any time unless you are of stong spirit and religion.
