Trust me. 23 is no age to be thinking about kids. You are right on emotionally. Women are having kids much older now. Your early 20's is for play and exploration. If you choose to have kids later great, if not, that's great too!

I am 23 I have a nice job, and I have two college degrees, and will have a third one by 2007. I don't have any kids either. It's all about the person. Everyone makes their own choices in life. Some people at the age of 23 have kids because it's their choice. I have a friend who has two kids and she is only 25. We use to be good friends in high school but we have went are seprate ways. She works very hard everyday to support her kids. I feel for her because people her age should be enjoying themselves. As for you don't rush to have kids until you have found the right guy.

Because you have other priorities right now and there's nothing wrong with that. I was the same way and I'm happy I waited to have kids. I've been able to travel, start a business and have time to know what I want out of life. I'm now 33 and expecting my first child in about two weeks. I feel more ready to provide for them, emotionally and financially than I would have at 23.
Don't give in to the peer pressure. Do what you feel is right for you. You may decide you don't want to have children and you're the only one who can make that decision. Good luck!

Not everyone has that "maternal" or "paternal" instinct. It's good that you realize that, and don't just have kids because it's what is supposed to be done. One should only have children if one really wants children, and is prepared to raise those children.
You may change your mind when you get older. You may not. You might decide that you never want kids. That's OK. Just make sure, if you get into a serious relationship, that the other person knows how you feel about the issue. It could cause a lot of problems if you married a man who has his heart set on children, and you don't want them.

Nothing wrong with you honey. If you feel that way even a little then it is not time for you to have children. Go enjoy your life and really do whatever it is you want to do with your life. Now is the time because once you have that first baby your life changes totally and forever so enjoy this part of your life so you will be ready to move on to the next. You just might be surprised at how you feel about it this time next year. For now, go have some fun for us both.

Not everyone does. Its ok. Don't let anyone make you feel like you are wierd because you don't fit a traditional mold. Enjoy your life. Live up to the best of your expectations. One day you might meet a wonderful partner. You might prefer to be childless your entire life, or you might decide later to have a child. But its your call. I think its much better to know exactly what you want than to worry about what others think.

Because different people have different need. I don't think having kids or not should bother you. Maybe in this moment, you prefer to work hard on your career or you haven't meet your Mr. Right yet. No one knows what will happen in the future. You don't need to worry that you are abnormal or what. Just enjoy your life and treasure this moment.
