If you read it again you will find God did not Satan was the one causeng the problems for Job When God took his hand off of Job...God did allow this by taking his by taking some of his protection off...Now if you are asking why God allowed it that is another question I would say that there was some good that came out of it...It is an example to us all that we are talking about it today...many of Jobs friends told Job that he had done something wrong and that he should beg God's forgiveness....His wife told him he should curse God and die...but Job was an example to all of them and to us today he suffered but did not blame God....Many times I see people here in yahoo blameing God for the things that are wrong in the world...Job is the example for them and us and all of Job's friends and his wife...Job never blamed God nor did he doubt his realtionship with God.....Naked came I in to this world and Naked shall I leave it...All of those who love God should learn this that God blesses us everyday and not to take God for granted he owes us nothing but he gives us all that he has...It was not just to prove a point to Satan but to show to all of us how we should be.

Where did you get that? It wasn't in Bible. God doesn't have anything to prove to Satan. Satan was once only God's favored Archangel. I remembered God letting Satan do horrible things to Job and his family not because God enjoyed it but because HE wanted Satan to see that Man is not what Satan thinks. Man has faith, and he endures every horrible things that will and has happened to him because he knows God is planning something better for him. God wanted Satan to see the strength of a faithful man. Maybe it'd be helpful if you read that part again. I'm sorry you got it all wrong.

Just to clear things out its not God who destroyed Job's life, He only granted permission to Satan to test Job...

There is a saying that Gold is tested through fire, and when Satan said that Job was only faithful because he was prosperous, God then granted Satan the permission to make his life a living hell...for Him to show that demon that what he said is not true and that Job will be faithful even at tough times...

God didn't destroy Jobs life, Satan did that. Jehovah allowed it to happen, we all have to endure test to prove our faith. Remember after wards Job was blessed for his integrity.

Tropicallady is absolultely correct in her response. satan challenged God saying that if everything were taken from Job, he would curse God to His face. God allowed satan to do what he wanted, but he could not kill him. It's a great book.

certainly. There are 2 extra issues approximately that tale that hardship me: a million. Why did God fix activity's life? it form of sounds like he would have made a a lot enhanced component --no longer basically to devil, yet to all human beings who reads the story -- if he purely enable activity go through till dying. 2. How is it that devil had get entry to to God while no person else in hell does? devil is meant to be the worst of them. Why could the worst enemy God has ever had get get entry to to God while not one of the different undesirable souls in hell do?

What makes you think that he wasn't proving a point to Job?

He did it to prove that man is strong enough to have faith, and keep faith through times of oppresion. I believe he also did it to help inspire people like us in the future do do the same.

1: There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was blameless and upright, one who feared God, and turned away from evil.
2: There were born to him seven sons and three daughters.
3: He had seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen, and five hundred she-asses, and very many servants; so that this man was the greatest of all the people of the east.
4: His sons used to go and hold a feast in the house of each on his day; and they would send and invite their three sisters to eat and drink with them.
5: And when the days of the feast had run their course, Job would send and sanctify them, and he would rise early in the morning and offer burnt offerings according to the number of them all; for Job said, "It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts." Thus Job did continually.
6: Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them.
7: The LORD said to Satan, "Whence have you come?" Satan answered the LORD, "From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking up and down on it."
8: And the LORD said to Satan, "Have you considered my servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, who fears God and turns away from evil?"
9: Then Satan answered the LORD, "Does Job fear God for nought?
10: Hast thou not put a hedge about him and his house and all that he has, on every side? Thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.
11: But put forth thy hand now, and touch all that he has, and he will curse thee to thy face."
12: And the LORD said to Satan, "Behold, all that he has is in your power; only upon himself do not put forth your hand." So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD.
13: Now there was a day when his sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house;
14: and there came a messenger to Job, and said, "The oxen were plowing and the asses feeding beside them;
15: and the Sabe'ans fell upon them and took them, and slew the servants with the edge of the sword; and I alone have escaped to tell you."
16: While he was yet speaking, there came another, and said, "The fire of God fell from heaven and burned up the sheep and the servants, and consumed them; and I alone have escaped to tell you."
17: While he was yet speaking, there came another, and said, "The Chalde'ans formed three companies, and made a raid upon the camels and took them, and slew the servants with the edge of the sword; and I alone have escaped to tell you."
18: While he was yet speaking, there came another, and said, "Your sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house;
19: and behold, a great wind came across the wilderness, and struck the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young people, and they are dead; and I alone have escaped to tell you."
20: Then Job arose, and rent his robe, and shaved his head, and fell upon the ground, and worshiped.
21: And he said, "Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked shall I return; the LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD."
22: In all this Job did not sin or charge God with wrong.
