The story itself is entirely false. hence the term fiction.

However, that being said; a majority of the facts refrenced in the story are very true.

The Da Vinci Code is a good novel and nothing else.... The cover page says it is accurate, but Dan brown tries to level truth. He didn't even travel to Europe for his research and as for the Priory of Sion, an association founded in 1957 by fans of surrealism who enjoyed setting fake genealogies for one of the best hoax ever.

I believe da vinci has real some facts as the based of the story. But there are still some missing link. Once they find the missing link - a convincing facts - then it is up to us to decide whether it is true or not. However, when it affects one's 'faith' - things cannot be explained logically /merely by facts alone.

The "Da Vinci Code" was written as a fictional book. Are parts of it true? It is hard to say.

Please note that I see no releivance at all of this book to the Christian faith.

The book and movie are just that... books and movies. There are a lot of factual things in the book, such as the Templars. Do I think there is more to the Bible than what is out in print?... yes. Do I think the church is capable of surpressing information?... YES. Do I think there is a list of hidden clues scattered around France... eh... not really.

Not even close to being true. Just a bunch of anti-Catholic conspiracy theories that had been previously debunked.

It's an okay novel. That's about as much praise as it deserves.
