should violations be given for writing adult content or for being un-necessarily mean and nasty when answering a question?

I don't think so. It's a form of censorship. But there was a good point brought up earlier about seperating the age groups. There are alot of young people on here, so if Yahoo could seperate them from the adults then it wouldn't be such an issue.

Dpends on what you mean by adult content, most word get bleeped out. There is nothiing wrong with adult subjects, I think the problem is young readers. And there is no need for being mean but then again, once you start controlling what people say, who knows where that will end? But i definatly think young readers is the bigger issue.

As far as the adult content it should depend on the situation itself.
As far as one being rude or just being an idiot I think yahoo should not allow the answer.
