The ability to keep a Border Collie anywhere depends a lot on your time and dedication to the dog.
Border Collies are VERY active and VERY intellient. In general, they need at least an hour of heavy outdoor activity everyday, good training, and are usually happier if they are working somehow. If your life allows for this kind of involvement, and if you have the added time and money to get involved in agility, flyball, herding, some sort of activity that works both body and mind, then you might be ready for a BC.
People will tell you that you need acres of land to have a dog like this, but that's just their ignorance showing. Most dogs who live on acres of land spend most of their time in one spot, napping. When they come inside they are still full of energy because even though they have all that space, they will not USE it on their own. BCs need to be challenged and stimulated, and an apartment dweller can do that just as well as a farmer.
I wish you luck, and don't forget to check out your local dog rescues. They may have BC who will fit your lifestyle available!

A border collie needs a lot of room to run, and it would get frustrated in an apartment. Unless you are willing to walk it for atleast 1 hour a day it would be unfair towards the dog.

If you want a border collie i suggest getting out of your apartment. The border collie needs room to run and get plenty of excercise. I suggest if you want a dog for an apartment get a small dog.

If you have plenty of time to spend with a border collie then the answer is YES! If you don't then get a smaller less demanding dog.
If you got a Border you could do agility, heelwork to music and lots of clicker training to keep him mentally stimulated.

Many apartments will accept large dogs some will not. It just all depends on if the one you live at does and if not are you willing to move in order to keep the dog? We have a Rottweiler living with us in an apartment. I would never move anyplace that she couldn't come with. She's like my third child. It's just really important to make she they get out enough. Good luck.

A Border Collie is not a good choice for you. They do not make good pets for most people.

No because border collies need the space to run around and if you kept inside all day it wouldn't be fair to the dog.

It would be highly ill-advised to keep such active breed in a confined apartment. I highly recommend against it.

if you live in an apartment you need to speak with the manager regarding pets and see what the rules are regarding them some places won't allow pets and before you even get a pet you need to speak with the manager or the person you pay your rent to what the rules are regarding such a matter
