To give up Uni, is a short term, but bad solution. You regain the money easily if you finish Uni first and earn then more money. In addition to that, long term you will be much happier if you later get a job which you enjoy. Your parents are probably as well disappointed if you give up Uni, after they worked so hard for your support.

If you're making money to support your parents, then you're not doing it because you love money are you? It's not that money in and of itself is evil, and if you touch lots of it or earn lots of it, then it's bad.
I know a Christian guy who's worth £6 billion. He still lives at the same standard as he did when he had only a little money - he gives the rest away to good causes and Christian charities. He does not love money, but he is a gifted entrepreneur and finds it easy to make a lot of money. So he thought to himself: money does indeed make the world go round, why don't I dedicate my life to making it and then giving it all away? The moral: it's not the makaing of money that matters, it's your attitude to it. That's why it's "love of money is the root of all kinds of evil" not "money is the root of all evil".

Nah, tisn't Evil. The young must care for the old, right? I think your plan is honorable, proper, and comendable. Many of my fellow Americans will, sadly, put their parents in Retirement Homes when they become too old to care for themselves. With your plan, you could hire a day-nurse to come by and help out instead of shipping your own flesh and blood to an Institution. If you get crazy successful, you could get a nice island for you all to live on. Grands can be a great help with your own children too, you know. The 'grandma revolution' helarded in a new age of human social adaptation when our hunter/gatherer anscestors started living longer. Your devotion to family values is really groovy.

Your reason for wanting money is good, money can however be evil if used for the wrong things or if one seeks it to the exclusion of other good things in life like knowlegde , faith in God etc,
but you can also be good to your parent even if you are not rich by being kind to them and by treating them well.

You said the answer yourself: the LOVE of money, or more appropriately, the desire for money for use to obtain power over others. Your desires to care for your parents, grandparents, children, aunts, uncles, or spinster neice, are not evil. That's survival instinct. Go for the money. Make all you can. It doesn't last long.

Our perception that money will give us all we want is evil. Money does not buy happiness to use an old cliche. Your intentions are admirable in that your want of money is to procure ease & happiness for your parents & your fiancee's parents. Try not to drive yourself so hard to accomplish this goal as you may lose sight of it by trying to gain more & more money. Parents will be happy to see you happy which is why they have continued to provide for you even with their difficulties.

A love for money is not evil, money makes the world go round, and as it is your aspiration, can do a many great and wonderful things. Aspire to get as rich as you can, as I can clearly see that you'll be a person to do good as far as you go!

You're not doing it for the love of money, you're doing it for the love of your parents. Your intentions are very altruistic and not evil in the least.

money is a tool, you're right. the currency itself is not evil, it's the selfish greed for it that is. In yourcase, you plan to be selfless with the money, so it obviously cannot be construed as evil.
