When i have an episode, I just need to be left alone for awhile. Try to communicate with her through notes if you can't talk to each other. Don't start with "You don't this or You did that" but say more along the lines of "I feel I need more help around the house" or "I feel like sometimes you don't like me very much" or something along those lines. It's hard to communicate during an episode because it does take over. Maybe her writing back will help her calm down, let her put her feelings on paper. At least the lines of communication will still be open. I hope she sees a doctor.

Do not react to a person with bipolar episodes, be YOURself, not hers.
Do what is right, be stable, she needs you now, more than ever. People need rules, and someone who is consistent. Don't faulter, she needs to know you will be the same no matter what she is going through. When she comes back she will see your strength. Don't question or try to understand her mind. The disease is too complex. Don't react on impulse or how you are feeling.
My daughter told me, when she was young she thought I didn't know anything, now she is an adult and comes to me for advice, admitting that I know just about everything!

no idea, my little sister used to be hyper active but I think that is different. I don't know about mania but maybe get her involved in sports like soccer or cross country running. That would build her esteem as well. Good luck.
Talk to psychologists not psychiatrist who will only mess her up with drugs. Also seek help from a homoeopaths perhaps she has some food sensitivities or is going through a natural surge of hormones.
Try not to worry. Trust nature. Intervene as little as possible as that leads to higher suicide rates though no one likes to admit that.

Hi...I can really understand your situation..I have my very close friend who has same problem...
My advice to you is to talk to her about what all she feels, what does she want, what all made her unhappy...do try to listen her even during her manic episodes...never come hard on her as they can develop suicidal tendency also...
You must take her to some psychiatrist...I feel that Zedep(floxitine) shall be best for her..
they need more of social suport.

She should be on medication. See a psychiatrist. Just leave her alone.
