any tips on how i can get rid of a phone-stalker??

tell them that you are really a cop and that you were only talking to them to learn background information and now you are on your way to arrest them but they have to stay on the line so you can locate them..... i bet they wont stay on the line very long

Certainly in the UK it takes ages to get any results via the police. You should just change you number as soon as possible. Being stalked is usually frightening and sometimes dangerous.

If you do not decide to do this it would be better just to hang up on the stalker without speaking to or goading them in any way.

When I was a kid someone was phone stalking my big sister,the phone was taped after it was reported.he kept him talking long enough for the police to trace him,he was guy in our street.He told the police that he 'fancied' my sister.He was made to come and apologise .He was really embarrassed.My sister quite liked him.They even went on a date after that.
Report him.When he/she phones next time do not hang up and keep the phone off the receiver,it will stay connected even if they hang up .They will run up a huge bill and will not be able to get rid of you.Turn the tables on him/her.
