A bottle a day each? or between you? On average you get four glasses out of a bottle and you should be drinking 2 a day to be safe. Red wine is loaded with iron, so will do you good but not in the quantities you are drinking 7 days a week.

an entire bottle of red wine every day is BAD for your health. Your partner is more than likely alcoholic and needs help. You are right, a glass or two can be good for the heart. He is wrong. If he refuses help, then you should reconsider your relationship.

some people will develope a drinking problem if they can't get through there day without consumming a whole bottle of wine and yes it can be unhealthy and could in time do damage to the liver and other vital organs within his body. people who drink only two glasses of wine stop at there 2nd glass of wine they don't consume a whole bottle of wine

I think that one bottle every day is a bit too much. One glass (or two on special days) should be fine, especially when taken with food.
It helps you to increase your appetite and enhances the taste of some food such as cheese. (that's why there are so many different red wines and cheeses in France!)

I think your partner needs to make a call to AA.
Is A.A. For You?
Only you can decide whether you want to give A.A.a try —
whether you think it can help you.

We who are in A.A. came because we finally gave up trying to control our drinking. We still hated to admit that we could never drink safely. Then we heard from other A.A. members that we were sick. (We thought so for years!) We found out that many people suffered from the same feelings of guilt and loneliness and hopelessness that we did. We found out that we had these feelings because we had the disease of alcoholism.

We decided to try and face up to what alcohol had done to us. Here are some of the questions we tried to answer honestly. If we answered YES to four or more questions, we were in deep trouble with our drinking. See how you do. Remember, there is no disgrace in facing up to the fact that you have a problem.
