i will be spending around 7,000 on mine and i am having everythign exactly the way i want it. You just have to know how to bargain shop and how to be creative and know what things you can do for yourself. I am saving 1,000 dollars on flowers by arranging them myself. etc....

An average wedding these days costs about $25,000-$30,000. However, I spent $13,000 on mine...had 250 guests, 3 attendants and 2 flowergirls, it was outdoors in the month of May, a buffet style dinner was served, dj,flowers, everything...the best part was that my wedding dress, veil, and shoes cost less than $300. Good luck!!

The average wedding in America is $28,000, at least according to the Washington Post (See attached link). But I think it also depends what part of the country you live in. I live in the Midwest and plan on spending around $10,000 for my wedding.

A wedding ring, taxi, friends, party, Okay - then 1000 dollars. If it is going to be a gathering of 500 to 1000 persons, it may cost more depending upon your savings or bank balance.

I think Captures Sun gave you a really good break down, she should become a wedding consultant. Take her list as a starting point and shop around. Check out this wedding related site http://advancedvideo.50webs.com they have hundreds of wedding links to all sorts of services. You can use them to find what you need and at prices you can afford.

For my Zip code (southern California) the average was $46,000...we will be spending approx. half that for 100 people. They guy that said $1,000 is WAY off. You can't even get a ring for that...In ANY zipcode.
