Peter's vision had NOTHING to do with God's food instructions. His vision had to do with extending the gospel message to the Gentiles. Notice that Peter insisted that surely he could not eat anything unclean..."Not so, Lord".
Peter's vision was interpreted directly to him by God. Acts 10:28: "...God has shown me that I should not call any man impure or unclean."
He went on to explain further in Acts 10:34: "I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism, but accepts men from every nation who fear him and do what is right."
God's food laws still apply!

Peter's vision was not about food. His interpretation was that he "should no longer call any man common or unclean". So if the interpretation of the dream is meant to be about food, then cannibalism is something which Christians should practice.
But, obviously the dream is not meant to be interpreted to say that you should be eating alley cat, swamp rat and every other foul creature out there.
Read the book Holy Cow for a Biblical view on eating clean.

They "food laws" weren't banished from christianity! I keep them as other sabbath keepers!
CHRISTIANS DON'T WANT TO FOLLOW JESUS; DIDN'T YOU KNOW THAT, "FOR ALL SEEK THEIR OWN, NOT THE THINGS WHICH ARE JESUS CHRIST'S."--(PHIL.2:21)
** TEXTS THAT INVOLVE THE CLEAN AND UNCLEAN MEATS:
GEN.18:7-8; LEV.11; 20:25; DEUT.14; ISAIAH 66:17; EZEK.22:26; DAN.1:8; MATT.3:4; LUKE 24:41-43; ACTS 10:10-14; 1COR.3:16-17; 9:27; 2COR.6:17; AND REV.21:8.
----TO ME; IF THE CLEAN AND UNCLEAN MEATS WEREN'T VALID FOR TODAY; THEN WHY OH WHY WOULD THE LORD PLEAD WITH FLESH NOT TO EAT UNCLEAN MEAT--(ISAIAH 66:15-17). ALSO NOTICE DEUT.14:4 "SHALT NOT EAT ANY ABOMINABLE THING" AND REV.21:8 "...THE ABOMINABLE SHALL HAVE THEIR PART IN THE LAKE WHICH BURNETH WITH FIRE AND BRIMSTONE: WHICH IS THE SECOND DEATH."

What makes anything unclean??
i personally hate to eat pork not because of any religious food law; but because i hate the animal from which the pork is gotten, everything was created by God and therefore to me everything is clean, it is just like one of those silly things about a menstruating woman not being allowed to pray because "she is unclean". Did God not make her menstruate or is that her prayers will not be answered because god made her Different from men who do not???
To me all things have been made clean and if it is not palatable to me i most certainly will not eat it.
I do not need any "food law"

More evidence of false Christianity. Gods laws have NOT been banished by Him. During the middle ages Jews did not get the black plague because they practised God's quarantine laws. Then stupid man had to rediscover His sanitation laws in the 1800's. The Doctor that re-discovered them ended up committing suicide because they took his license from him.

Acts 10;10 has a double entendre. Believers can be non
Jews, and we are allowed to eat all kinds of food, because
Jesus says to Peter don't call anything unclean that I have cleansed. If you don't want to eat certain foods, fine. Take your
hand off of my crab and lobster, now!!!

It is a matter of balance -- if you eat lots and lots of pork or shrimp, etc etc .... the foods that are not good for you.. then you will pay the consequences eventually.. Paul was saying that all things come from God and therefore are not unclean...
