Sugar free gums are fine for your teeth. In fact they can be very good.
Get a gum that contains the ingredient 'xylitol,' (fruit breezers, orbitz, etc) . In studies, xylitol has been known to stop decay. So, if you already have a cavity that has started, chewing a xylitol gum can help remineralize the tooth and make it more strong.
Xylitol is a nifty little wonder sugar-substitue. It's been proven to help babies fight off ear infections too. Do some research on it. It's pretty interesting

Yes. When the gum is advertised as sugar free, that means there is no natural sugar added to the gum. But that doesn't mean that there is no sugar. Artificial sugars are added to make the gum taste better. These sugars are worse for you and your teeth than natural sugars.

no but it is very bad for your brain..as the ingredient "aspartame" is not intended for people who aren't diabetics.. look it up on line and it will show you all the names & dangers of it...
The FDA allowed it to be used when the manufacters lobied them about using it...not that it was good for the general public..just big bucks for the manufactures
Many people thing it's better than sugar..it's actually more harmful.. it can cause symptons that appear to be MS,, as it attacks the brain's functions....
chew reugalr gum...as the salvia helps to fight any plaque build up
Happy Chewing !!

Sugar free gum is BAD for your health because of the Aspartame in it. It causes nerve damage and birth defects and other things. They are pulling it off the market in Europe and what Europe does we eventually end up doing it here in America. The FDA is going to approve neotame which is related to aspartame and it is far worse. Google aspartame if you don't believe me.

Sugar free gum is best. No sugar to cause cavitites and because it is not sticky, nothing adheres to your teeth.
