Your mother goes into your room. She reads your mail. You want to tell her, "Give me some privacy."

There are certain situations that is correct for a parent to do this. If you have given her reason to question what you are doing, she must do this to get you on the right track. Drugs, gangs, defiance, alcohol, and giving reason for distrust is the only reason that a parent should invade the privacy. I never thought that I would ever do that to my children until their wrong-doings gave me enough concern to do so. Actually, the police suggested to do so after my daughter shoplifted. However that was first and last time. Son joined gang. Both have straightened and feel that I had no choice at that time. I did not do so without just cause.move out if you do not like it.

She should respect you as a person and let you have some space, or privacy. Explain to her that she would not like you prying into her personal stuff. I do not go into my young granddaughter's rooms without knocking first and I would not dream of snooping through their room.

no words are needed, just raise the middle finger on your right hand, and point your index finger on your left hand at the door
