I think that is dejavu. I have that and I believe I have had these things happen in the past, maybe when I was younger. I can smell a scent or something like that and I think of something that seems familiar or I think happened before. Maybe it is just past memories or experiences. Probably something you have really already experienced and forgotten and something jogs your memory.

You've probably been in a similar situation where the outcome was different - A lot of dreams are based on things we've actually gone through, but with a twist

I am not trying to insult your intelligence, but do you watch many hours of t.v.? Do you have a vivid imagination? Do you read lots of stimulating books? I heard about this mind recall episode a while ago and it claimed when we expose our mind to all the information out there; some of it gets processed into tricking the brain into believing it is our memory.

Okay I don't believe you can have flash backs of things that did not happen ...I do believe you can have flash backs and not remember what you saw happening... Truth about flash backs is usually you get tiny pictures that give you more feelings than anything else most always bits and pieces not whole pictures...If your having flash backs talk to a councilor and they can help you decipher whats real and whats not... Pick a councilor carefully....Angel

This is quite a strange questiong. I think you should probably see a doc about this and get it checked out. There are way too many possibilties as to what this could be, so get it checked out to make sure it is nothing too serious.

Could be anything from deja-vu to early symtoms of schizophrenia. See a psycologist, because it could turn out to be something serious.

Yes, maybe it is something, scenes or places from a previous life...I have that too and I am sure I have never been to these places, at least not in that life time.

It may have been a very vivid dream that impressed your memory so much, since we do seem to intermingle our lives into our dreams.
