In the beginning - it doesn't give a year - and years are given only after mankind created a calender and at one time in clivilazation there were actually three simultaneous calendars going on at the same time - talk about a confusing world!

It doesn't. The Jewish Talmud says it's like the year 5765 or something like that though. However, generations are skipped sometimes in the genealogies, apparently saying one is a "father" simply means an ancestor. So while some genealogies can be traced by how old it says someone was when so and so was born, it doesn't seem possible to get the exact age. It doesn't seem to allow for an age over 10,000 years or so however.

God do not issue time schedule.
He just does it.
No one knows when it was created, how long it will carry-on and when will it finish.
