Because a 2000 year old book has stood the test of time and had little influence to its content - please spare me the barage of all the Catholic dogmas - where as the newspaper is generally dictated to as to what it can or cannot print depending on its political party backing. I heard a woman speak who was an imbedded journalist in Iraq. She said the most interesting aspect of the day was everyone watching CNN and going "Oh, that's what happened to us today" because it wasn't even close to wha they had encounted.
