Because people make it that way. The Bible states the number 666 as an evil number (I guess it represents Satan) and while I believe in the Bible, and am a Christian, I certainly don't expect any more bad today than any other day. Of course, people will make a big deal out of it but I am sure that to God, this is irrelevant.

No, nothing bad will happen. However, in Hell Michigan, (yes there really is such a place) there is even a Hell in Grand Caymen Island. They are having a huge celebration today.
