The Charismatic's that I know tend to be a bit judgemental and there are cliques at the churches so it's a little like high school with the 'cool kids' and the outsiders. But it's not limited to Charismatics really. As long as they are happy and praising God it's all good I guess.

The word "charismatic" derives from the Greek "charisma" which simply means "an undeserved gift," which in turn derives from "charis" which we normally translate as "grace." "Charisma" can refer either to the gift of salvation shown to sinners or to the spiritual gifts bestowed on believers. The term "charismatic" is usually used to refer to churches outside of the Pentecostal denominations which believe in the operation of the spiritual gifts today.

Having got the definitions out of the way, just read I Corinthians and you'll probably recognise some churches you know. Things haven't changed a whole lot in almost 2000 years.

Personally, I believe that we in the body of Christ should concentrate on that which we have in common instead of that which we believe others may have interpreted wrongly. There is no such thing as a perfect church just as there is no such thing as a perfect Christian.

The Apostle Paul admitted he didn't know everything when he said, "We don't yet see things clearly. We're squinting in a fog, peering through a mist."

I thank God he took me out of a charismatic church. They practice false doctrine all the way. I was in it full steam, especially the spiritual ware fare. It's demonic. I felt I was in a constant battle all the time and there is no need for that. Mistakes they make. First and foremost what they practice is false doctrine. They focus more on the signs instead of God himself. I have to go. Email me if you are interested. Email me again.

Some of them can be overbearing and quite preachy at times.

Before the Charismatic Movement became a 'thing' I recall certain church groups [within the RCC], including some of my relatives --aunts and uncles, and even cousins-- signing up for weekend Retreats and then coming back quite envigorated as belonging to some faddish cliques, like "De Colores", then later "Couples for Christ", then "Singles for Christ"... etc., etc.

But in the end, nothing much really changed about them as they carried on with their usual gossiping, lies and snobbery just the same. ...Hahaha!

They have many admirers around them, that often leads to a blurred vision of reality and a tendency to overestimate their own importance

They have branched out far from the tree, and their fruits are unreachable.
