In the past, I've just kissed lips on lips ... the other night I was with my new girlfriend, and when we kissed, she put her tongue slightly into my mouth. I put my tongue slightly in hers (just mirroring what she did), but it felt really awkward to me. Only seconds later, she pulled away and said goodnight. It felt really awkward to me. Next time, what should I do???????? (and what the heck do you do with your tongue, anyway? brush her teath (sarcasm) ?

do the same thing...i mean its nice..hehe..but if she feels uncomfortable then jus normal lips kissing...so the next time when u see her...jus kiss on the lips...slowly put ur tongue
