The reason I put this question into this catagory is because, if you read my other questions, I was not sure if it was a sin to leave my husband, who will not get a job or take care of his family. So, in my own little world over on this end of the computer screen, this is a spiritual/religous question. Just wondered how others felt about me moving on, both in a literal, physical sense, and in a metaphorical sense. I probably should have added more details, to make it clear about how I catagorized this question, but I just didn't feel like it. My sincere apologies.

I've been to New York. I am not a New York kind of gal. But thanks for the suggestion.

But since it is here, I'll answer.

I lived in Oregon for 4 years and loved it. I lived in Corvallis and Portland. It was usually raining, or had just rained or was going to rain. (Does that let you know that it wasn't usually hot?)
I didn't want to move again but we moved to Mt. Shasta, California and stayed for 20 years! We LOVED it even more. This time it was super hot in the summer and super cold with snow in the winter!
The people were very friendly and helpful in both areas.
We moved again to the Central Valley in California and have been here for 5 years. We DON'T like it. Too many people, cars, houses, and etc. The people aren't nearly as friendly and are always in a hurry.
So, I'd say,"GREAT DECISION!"
(Of course, it depends on WHY you are moving but Oregon is a great place to live)

Try the Prineville area, it is high desert, less snow in winter. Plus it has the best hunting & fishing very close by. The fish arent contaminated with heavy metals & other carcinogins.
